Would you like a flatter abdomen or smaller love handles? CoolSculpting can help you get those areas in shape and achieve the look you desire. There are many non-surgical fat reduction treatments out there that use heat to remove stubborn fat, but CoolSculpting uses controlled cooling to get rid of unwanted fat. But how does CoolSculpting work?
What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is an FDA cleared non-invasive body contouring treatment that freezes away unwanted fat. It is not a weight loss solution, but is designed to treat stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.
CoolSculpting is approved for treating fat bulges on the abdomen, flanks, thighs, below the chin, back, bra area, beneath the buttocks (banana roll), and upper arms.
How does CoolSculpting work?
The CoolSculpting applicator delivers cold temperatures to the targeted areas of localized fat. The freezing temperatures injure the fat cells, causing them to crystallize and die. The treated fat cells are then cleared away by the body, and are gone for good.
CoolSculpting takes approximately one hour to perform, which makes it ideal for busy people. It typically requires 1-2 sessions to get the best results.
There is no downtime after CoolSculpting and post-procedural symptoms such as bruising, tenderness, and swelling resolve quickly. As a result, patients are usually able to resume normal activities following CoolSculpting treatment.
CoolSculpting reduces fat in the treatment zone by up to 25%. Some improvement can be seen about 3 weeks after treatment, but optimal results take 2-3 months (read more).
